Eylem Eylül Acarsoy is an enthusiastic designer with a multi-disciplinary approach. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design with the highest-ranked degree from Yasar University in 2021. She is currently pursuing a second undergraduate degree in Sociology at Anadolu University to further enhance her understanding of
the social dynamics.
Her design philosophy is rooted in a combination of self-reflection and scientific research, resulting in works that are deeply societal and cultural. She views methodological work as the key to design and she approaches design as research She integrates several research methods/tools into her works by taking into account the context. Her diverse skill set includes expertise in interaction design, experience design, editorial design, branding, and design management.
Eylül developed a keen interest in the managerial aspects of design as a result of her position as the Design and Communication Coordinator for the GİY project, where she gained vital experience in project management, mentorship and facilitation.
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, she is passionate about DIY art and craft projects and jewelry design. She is also an animal lover, and her family's home serves as a sanctuary for the stray cats
they have adopted.
Ultimately, she aims to merge her academic, practical, and artistic tendencies through her work.

Design and Experience Strategist
BAYETAV (We Live Together Education and Social Sciences Foundation) is a non profit organization that focuses on the ongoing problems in social, political, and economic domains, as well as the inequalities, injustices, and discriminations arising from differences and deprivations in the surrounding ecosystem. It invites us to think and generate solutions regarding the divisions and polarizations caused by these issues.
"BAYETAV Art" which is designed as the "meeting space" for BAYETAV, is located in the Fernand Pagy Mansion in Bornova/İzmir, with a history of approximately 160 years and previously hosted by the Levantine Pagy family. This mansion holds a significant place in the collective memory of the city, highlighting the historical and cultural diversity of coexistence. Bayetav Sanat provides a venue for exhibitions, talks, and workshops consisting of works that establish a relationship with BAYETAV's activities, aiming to carry unity culture to the present through artistic practices and academic studies.

İHKİB GİY Apparel Innovation Competition and Education Platform
as Design and Communication Coordinator
İHKİB GİY was a Non-Profit Apparel Innovation Competition and Education Platform for university students from all disciplines. The aim of the competition was to gather, educate and encourage students to design innovative apparel projects with sustainable and social insights via design-thinking methods within interdisciplinary teams. It took place in digital with the contributions of Turkish Ministry of Commerce, Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK), Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), Istanbul Apparel Exporters Assosiation (İHKİB), Istanbul Apparel Exporters Education Foundation.

I started off as the Visual Designer of the project and designed the whole visual identity. Later on, I got included as Design and Communication Coordinator in the "Arama Consultancy İHKİB GIY Team" which includes Prof. Dr. Oğuz Babüroğlu, Selçuk Karaata, Dr. Duygu Özalp and Müjde Keskin. We worked for İHKİB (Istanbul Apparel Exporters Assosiation) and İHKİB Education Foundation, in coordination with 12 Yapım Creative Agency and SPP42 Software Development Company.
My roles in the project:
•Visual Identity
Designed Logo, Poster, Print (Brochure, Rollup, Jury Manual etc.), Promotion and Advertisement Videos, Competition Guide, Informative Presentations, Interactive Learning Materials
•Mentoring
Gave several mentorings and enlightened the students about Design Thinking and Design Methodologies, Storytelling, Visualisation, UI-UX, Information Design, Pitching and Presentation Techniques.
•PR and Copywriting
Prepared the pitch of the project, been in contact with universities and student clubs, valuable entrepreneurs and academicians, coordinated the mailing processes, prepared presentations for both students, academics, mentors, jury and other stakeholders seperately to convey them the methods and timeline of the competition
•Moderation of the Trainings/Conferences/Workshops
Coordinated the trainings, gave introduction speech and coordinated Q&A Sessions in video conferences, directed students in IDEO based Design Thinking Workshops ("Discovery Workshop" and "Design Workshop" )
•One to one Communication
Coordinated the mailing processes with students and academic mentors, have been the key instrumental in solving student problems/requests
•Data Management
Collected, classified and reported the application, created the data table of assignment and attendance, made data analysis and data visualisations, presented those to different stakeholders (Arama Consultancy İHKİB GİY Team, İHKİB, İHKİB Education Foundation, Jury)
•Education Platform Coordination
Communicated with software team via producitivity tools, administrated the education platform which was the core element in the project
•Social Media Coordination
Communicated with Social Media Agency, prepared creative content for social media, act as art director for most of the social media posts, wrote captions for the posts

Interactive Digital Exhibits To Experience Architectural Heritage: The Case of Balcony
Balustrades of Ankara (1950-1975)
The project focuses on the adoption of computational design practices for the visualization of architectural building components and their reflections on society. The idea is to initiate a collaboration between the disciplines of interaction design and architectural history and ex periment with the possibilities offered by digital tools to interpret, appreciate and exhibit architectural elements which by definition exist in a widespread geographical distribution that makes them difficult to see, compare understand in association.

Fair Press (Fuar Matbaası) Workshop | Izmir Good Design

A project that is exhibited with the support of Izmir Municipality in 2020, which was put into production for 11 days in 2019 Izmir Good Design. The aim was to reach the collective memory through Izmir Fair. To achieve this, traditional letterpress, linoleum and stereotype printing methods used to produce a postcard.

The active design process, which lasted for two days, in which information about fanzines was learned with book designer Ata Kam and the meaning created by "fanzine" to the participants was conveyed through being copy.
